Plessen Healthcare is a highly dynamic organization comprised of a medical clinic, the only CMS accredited Ambulatory Surgical Center in the USVI, and an Urgent Care/Specialty Clinic. Our team of providers and nurses will be expected to work within each of the 3 business units, as needed. We are seeking VI licensed, experienced practitioners.

The Ultrasound/Echo Technologist is required to act in a professional manner, responds to patient needs, and supports colleagues and associates in providing quality patient care. This will include:

· Answer questions about the ultrasound procedure to patients

· Sterilize the room and equipment where the sonogram takes place

· Perform the ultrasound and capture images

· Evaluate the images and interpret their meaning

· Present the images and diagnosis to healthcare professionals

· Maintain patient records and add notes pertaining to the ultrasound results

The candidate should be very detail oriented since they need to follow precise instructions when operating equipment and when determining what images are healthy or unhealthy. Candidates need strong interpersonal skills because they work closely with patients and may need to reassure them in order to obtain quality scans. Strong technical skills are necessary and an understanding of operating complex machinery and computerized instruments. Hand-eye coordination skills since they need to secure quality images by moving the equipment across patients’ body and interpret what images come across the screen.

Salary: $60,000.00 - $73,000.00 per year
