Responsibilities: Under the direct supervision of the Safety and Security Coordinator, is responsible for leading the development of and clearly articulate CMHA-CEI’s safety vision, objectives, strategies, policies and procedures in order to build a safety culture dedicated to behaviors which lead to best in class results. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Responsible for carrying out all activities of the program/sub-unit in such a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI’s mission, policies and procedures.
Requirements: Possession of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required. Three years’ experience in safety management assignments in a healthcare setting is required. Minimum of two years’ experience with corporate safety, OSHA record keeping, and general construction safety is required. Extensive knowledge of Federal and State regulations - specifically OSHA regulations - is required. Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time. Possession of a valid Michigan driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for job related use is required.
Conditional Employment Requirements: Employment offers for this position will be contingent upon the results of a Michigan State Police Clearance check and verification of an acceptable Michigan driving record. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.
