Job Description :

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Structural Engineer in our Annapolis, Maryland office. We currently have numerous design and inspection projects for movable and fixed bridges in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Responsibilities and Duties

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Experience in analysis and design of bridges, structures and structural computer models
  • Familiarity with AASHTO Code and DOT guidelines for design, preparation and delivery of Contract Documents
  • Ability to develop proposals, schedules and manage tasks independently is preferred
  • Ability to develop CAD drawings in Microstation and AutoCAD is preferred

Qualifications and Skills

Requirements:

  • B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, Structural concentration preferred
  • Professional Engineering license
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in transportation projects for State Agencies in the Mid- Atlantic Region preferred (MD, VA, DC, DE and/or NCDOT)
  • Good project management, technical writing and communication skills.
  • Bridge inspection experience, NBIS Team Leader Certification is a plus
