Job Summary:

The corporate HR Coordinator is responsible for facilitating transactional activities of the employee life cycle from onboarding to off-boarding. Responds to inquiries from employees, people leaders and vendors. Must be able to interact effectively with internal and external constituents at all levels. The HR Coordinator ensures plans are administered in accordance with federal and state regulations and that plan provisions are followed. This role provides administrative support to the human resources function as needed including record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry.
Job Duties:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintains data integrity within the HRIS/HCM system.
  • Responsible for processing new hires, changes, and terminations and other transactions.
  • Supports the front-end payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions. Reviews payroll registers or audit reports to ensure accuracy before payroll is finalized.
  • Partners with the talent acquisition teams to successfully complete new hire, rehire and contingent worker activities from entries into the HRIS system while complying with position control.
  • Facilitates background check and drug testing processes.
  • Organizes, updates, and compiles all employee documents.
  • Facilitates new hire orientation and related new hire activities and training.
  • Acts as an onboarding resource to all new hires and their managers with questions and supply necessary resources needed to successfully bring them aboard.
  • First point of contact for employee relations issues for the corporate office; escalates matters as appropriate. Counsels, assists, and answers questions from employees and people leaders.
  • Contributes to performance improvement plans and follow-up including EAP referrals.
  • Provides scheduled and ad-hoc reports; responds to data requests from HR leaders and other departments.
  • Ensures compliance with federal and state laws and regulations.
  • Participates in the performance evaluation process including annual and first-90-day evaluations.
  • Facilitates the off-boarding process when employees leave the organization.
  • Research HR trends and best practices and recommends program changes and enhancements to drive better retention and engagement of new hires.
  • Ensures compliance with federal and state laws and regulations; communicates changes to leaders.
  • Administers key card access/badging process for corporate office employees. Ensures timely updates.
  • Provides support to the Benefits team; responding to employee inquires, assisting with open enrollment, billing support, etc.
  • Provides corporate and field support of day-to-day duties and special projects.
  • Conducts routine audits of various payroll, HR, or Benefits records/files to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
  • Maintains general knowledge of applicable laws and regulations effecting HR functions by staying abreast of current HR principles, techniques, and practices.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Complies with organizational policies, procedures, performance improvement initiatives and maintains regulatory and industry standards.
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
  • Accepts responsibility for professional growth and development of self and attends all mandatory facility in-services and staff development activities as scheduled.
  • Maintains professionalism and confidentiality of all employees and patients.
  • Minimal travel may be required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma plus related comparable experience: Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Two years’ experience as an HR Assistant or HR Coordinator within a large company with multiple site experience; health care operations experience preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment with ever changing priorities.

LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:
PHR or SHRM-CP Certification preferred.
