Job Description:

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is hiring for the following role in Cambridge, MA (multiple openings): Software Engineer II. Perform software engineering duties in furtherance of design and implementation of custom web applications, largely around authentication, authorization, and identity-related products; design, implement, automate, and support all aspects of the product; participate in the architecture, design, development, testing, implementation, maintenance, and support of software solutions; develop new applications, improve current systems and bring new capabilities to our customers; contribute to our automated test suite, including unit, functional, integration, and end-to-end tests in labs and QA environments; improve current functionality and bring new features to the software platform. Required Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, Information System Engineering, Information Technology, Information Assurance and Cybersecurity, or Telecommunications Engineering and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or closely related software engineering role. Alternately, will accept Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, Information System Engineering, Information Technology, Information Assurance and Cybersecurity, or Telecommunications Engineering.

Must Have: Demonstrated at least five (5) of the following skills in prior experience or coursework: Python, Linux/Unix, AWS, Jenkins, Git, GitLab, Selenium, C, C++, Bash, Angular, Docker.
