Job Summary: The Pharmacist will directly oversee all pharmacy operations, including sterile compounding, non-sterile compounding, customer relations, dispensing, and quality assurance. The Pharmacist will work directly with the other pharmacists, technicians, and other pharmacy staff to ensure patient and physicians needs are met by maintaining/improving compounding processes to produce the highest quality compounded preparations.
This position is located at Eastern States Compounding Pharmacy in Littleton, New Hampshire.
Job Activities and Responsibilities:
1) Maintain an up-to-date knowledgebase of current compounding best practices for all offered preparations and federal/state compounding regulations
2) Lead and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy including legal compliance, and maintenance/improvement of quality
3) Coordinate and delegate assignments/responsibilities to personnel to ensure pharmacy standards and compliance are achieved
4) Oversee/direct the training and validation all pharmacy personnel as it corresponds to their position and job requirements
5) Manage and provide feedback for on-going performance evaluations and address performance issues
6) Ensure compliance with all company SOPs, state/federal regulations, and accreditation body standards as applicable
7) Assist/directs in the development, revision, and implementation of pharmacy policies and procedures
8) Lead and facilitate regulatory and third-party pharmacy inspections annually as necessary
9) Other tasks as assigned
Minimum Qualifications: Registered pharmacist in pharmacy home state with formal training in nonsterile and sterile compounding or equivalent experience. Must be knowledgeable of all Microsoft Office programs, Windows. Must have home access to Internet. Proficient use of Pharmacy Management System. Occasional travel to conferences to promote/educate pharmacy services required. Management experience preferred.
Requirements: Ability to use a computer keyboard, fax machine, communicate by telephone, good hand-eye coordination, close attention to detail and the ability to lift up to thirty pounds.
