Mission:

The People Operations Manager develops and implements programs, systems, policies, and services that are scalable, sustainable, pragmatic, and contribute to the achievement of corporate growth plans while supporting a high-expectation, equitable, and socially responsible culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Development and execution of supervisor training programs designed to prepare supervisors for the next generation of leadership.
  • Development and execution of retention and people development programs designed to identify and nurture high-potential employees.
  • Resident expert on employment law handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and management, oversees employee and supervisor meetings as required.
  • Develops systems to ensure employment law compliance within the states we operate.

Additional Job Duties:

  • Develop and administer supervisor training programs including but not limited to people management, coaching vs. disciplinary strategies, DEI, delegation skills, presentation skills, the requirement of consistency, and legal obligations of a supervisor.
  • Lead onboarding programs of new employees and newly promoted employees.
  • Develop program for employee relations, inquiries, and investigations. Oversee employee disciplinary meetings, terminations and investigations as required.
  • Develop and execute system for personnel file management and role of corporate, payroll and operations offices.
  • Retention programs development and administration.
  • Develop and lead annual benefits enrollment program designed to educate employees on benefit options. Research and propose additional employee benefits to senior staff. Develop system for capturing employee benefits enrollment information timely and accurately.
  • DEI program development and administration.
  • Understand thoroughly the collective bargaining agreements A-C is obligated to, and work with agencies to insure we are being provided a diverse workforce.
  • Own development of systems to ensure accurate offer packets, new hire orientation manuals, and federal and state postings.
  • Administer Leave of Absences. Communicate options available to employee based on eligibility, keep track of weeks, answer LOA questions for employee and supervisor.
  • The duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position. This is not a complete listing and other duties will be assigned based on the position’s role within the business unit.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • SHRM certified, preferred
  • 8 or more years in People/Human Resources role, with an emphasis on development of people management programs and systems
  • Demonstrated experience and working knowledge of employment law
  • Experience in construction a plus

Pay Range: $90,000 – $195,000. Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.

Reporting Structure: Reports to the Director of Talent, Organizational Development
