We are currently seeking a Human Resource Manager to lead and direct functions of the company pertaining to hiring and interviewing, administering pay, and benefits, and enforcing company policies and practices. This position will require a broad knowledge of all facets of Human Resources and necessitate maintaining a high level of confidentiality.

The Human Resource manager must possess and exhibit excellent communication skills and will work closely with and provide support to the Director of Corporate Administration.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for processing of all pay and benefits company-wide, including all data entry required.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Provide support to Management in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding of new employees.
  • Maintain and administer all employee benefit programs.
  • Oversee employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Oversee employee training programs, including research, development and recording of hours.
  • Participate in Community Engagement and Social Event planning and implementation of plans.
  • Provide support to Director of Corporate Administration as needed.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty at an elevated level. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required for this position.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources
  • 3-5+ years relevant experience
  • Proficiency and experience with sophisticated accounting software systems, and also proficient with Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Strong background in Human Resources practices and principles
  • Exceptional organizational skills and detail oriented
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working within a team environment
  • Experience in dealing with highly confidential information, and able to effectively manage and maintain sensitive material concerning the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in managing multiple responsibilities, preferably in an entrepreneurial environment
  • Ability to meet required deadlines and maintain commitments
  • Previous experience within the design and/or construction industry is highly valued
