Have you always wanted to break into the Human Resources field? Employer Services Corporation has an entry level opening for an HR Specialist, and we are looking for someone with transferable skills. An ideal candidate would be a self-starter, who is eager to grow their knowledge within Human Resources. The Human Resources Specialist provides administrative and technical assistance to the EVP of Human Resources, HR Manager and HR Business Partners. Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assists the HR team with day-to-day activities and projects regarding labor law compliance, employee relations, development and facilitation of training seminars, and other related duties.
  • Conducts research on a variety of HR-related topics.
  • Handles the unemployment insurance claims process. Completes forms, updates database, contacts customers and the DOL as necessary, and acts as the company representative at hearings.
  • Become the subject matter expert on ESC’s performance management and applicant tracking software.
  • Assists in developing and/or modifying HR seminars in the form of PowerPoint or Word documents.
  • Assisting with internal recruitment as needed.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • 1+ Year of transferable experience is preferred.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Proficient with MS Office.
