Job Description :
Essential Functions
- Meets with department managers to discuss business objectives and the requirements of each project
- Develops concepts utilizing the appropriate media and style to meet objectives
- Participates in brainstorming and conceptualizing meetings as needed
- Utilizes creative thinking to produce new ideas and effective design solutions from concept to completion
- Understands and executes the basics of good layout and design principles as it relates to arrangement, space, size, type, style and related aesthetics
- Assists with photo shoots and image editing, as well as digital renderings
- Presents finalized ideas and concepts to department managers
- Ensures consistency with brand standards where applicable
- Ability to be hands-on and produce physical mock-ups of artwork when necessary
- Proofread all projects to ensure accurate and high-quality work
- Maintains clean and orderly files with ability to develop press-ready artwork
- Has a sound understanding of digital asset management and archives accordingly
- Manages multiple projects, estimates time required to complete projects and notifies team of potential scheduling conflicts
- Works with a wide range of print and digital media to include: collateral, packaging, merchandising, POP, catalogs, advertising, presentations, instructions
- Basic knowledge of packaging materials and printing processes
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Graphic Design or related preferred
- 2+ years of hands-on experience using computer-based design and digital media programs in a creative team environment
- Proficient with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign, with ability to utilize Microsoft Office
- Creativity and problem-solving skills are a must, along with a willingness to learn
- Conceptual thinker with solid design and execution capabilities
- Good interpersonal and communications skills, capable of working with all levels of personnel
- Strong organizational skills in order to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Able to focus with a keen attention to detail
