Job Description :

About Us: We are a luxury pet resort offering dog boarding, doggy daycare, and grooming in Lewisville/Carrollton / The Colony area.

Schedule & Hours: The position hours are scheduled between 7am to 7pm Monday to Friday and some weekends. Ideal candidate has open availability when needed. Weekly schedule may change on business needs.

Location: Our location is in the Carrollton/ Lewisville/ The Colony area

Compensation: Base Salary plus a monthly bonus based on meeting defined company goals and objectives.

Job Description:

The General Manager is responsible for complete oversight of the entire facility to include operations, sales, marketing, HR, and customer service. The GM will create a culture of accountability, develop the leadership team, improve efficiency across departments, increase company profits, lower expenses, and fine tune areas of needed development to lead the company to success. The GM will work closely with company owner daily being the liaszon with other managers to achieve and execute business goals and objectives.

  • Implement & develop strategic plans for optimized productivity
  • Review and improve organizational effectiveness by implmenting and developing processes, overseeing employees, establishing a highly motivational work environment, and implementing innovative changes
  • Adhere to company standards for excellence and quality
  • Seek out opportunities for expansion and growth by developing new business relationships
  • Provide guidance and feedback to help others strengthen specific knowledge/skill areas

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations, assign weekly performance goals and ensure their completion, and accomplish your own goals
  • Recruit, onboard, and train high-performing employees to achieve objectives for sales, profitability, and market share
  • Maintain timelines to ensure tasks are accomplished effectively
  • Develop, implement, and maintain budgetary and resource allocation plans
  • Delegate responsibilities to the best-qualified employees and enforce all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, training programs, and cultural values set by the company
  • Resolve internal staff conflicts efficiently and to the mutual benefit of all involved

Required skills and qualifications

  • Proven success in a general managerial or similar role
  • Strong decision-making ability
  • Proven track record of increasing sales and net profits
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and delegation skills
  • Proven ability to develop and achieve financial plans
  • Ability to motivate and lead employees, and hold them accountable
  • Strong working knowledge of operational procedures
  • Prefer prior experience working with animals in a dog daycare capacity

Preferred skills and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business management or related field
  • Experience in conducting performance evaluations
  • Working knowledge of human-resources processes

Past Experience Required :

  • 5+ years of sales/ marketing in a service industry, hospitality or relevant industry
  • 5+ years of face to face customer service
  • 10+ years in a managerial role preferably GM experience
  • 20+ years working history
  • An affinity and passion for dogs and cats
