Job Description

Westminster-Canterbury on Chesapeake Bay is currently hiring Campus Safety & Security Officers.

We have openings for:

• Full Time- 12am-8am

What will I do?

Our Campus Safety & Security Officer:

• Conducts routine and directed patrols of all buildings and grounds.
• Takes the necessary steps to secure and unlock all areas of the community, including keeping unauthorized persons off the premises.
• Responds to medical and other emergency situations.
• Performs minor maintenance functions.
• Helps with valet parking of resident and guest vehicles.
• Knows the location and operation of light switches, fuse panels, fire alarm control panels, fire alarm pull stations, fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, sprinkler control valves, boilers, chillers, pumps, and emergency diesel generators.

What do I need for this role?

• High school Diploma or GED.
• Current valid VA Driver's License required.
• Physically able to perform all aspects of this job (carry up to 50 lbs, walk 5-7 miles in a day, etc.).
• CPR and First Aide certification (or must obtain within the first 60 days of employment).
• Ability to deal with a mature population.
