Stonebridge Financial Partners, a growing wealth management firm, is seeking a Wealth Advisor at our Grand Rapids location to assist us in our mission of helping clients achieve their financial goals. This is your chance to play a key role in the future success of our organization!

The Position

As a result of acquiring a retiring advisors practice in Grand Rapids, Stonebridge is seeking an individual to manage all 401(k) plan assets and accounts as well as help manage a portion of the Senior Wealth Advisor's book of business of the individual advisory practice. This individual will help us service and grow these assigned clients, as well as help grow the overall practice in Grand Rapids. Compensation will be commensurate with the individuals experience and abilities.

Responsibilities & Activities

· Manage all qualified retirement plan accounts (approx. 50% of capacity)

  • Serve as relationship manager for all plan sponsors;
  • Service all plan sponsor and participant requests and questions;
  • Ensure retirement plan is compliant with current regulations and that plan sponsor is fulfilling all fiduciary responsibilities;
  • Conduct educational meetings, new enrollment discussions and other client interactions;
  • Solicit and onboard new retirement plan clients.

· Manage relationships with an existing set of assigned advisory clients (approx. 50% of capacity)

  • Provide the highest level of advice and service to each client, ensuring all client requested actions are executed in a timely and accurate manner;
  • Assist in preparation of annual or periodic reviews with clients on the status of their financial portfolio and plans;
  • Analyze, develop and present the highest level of planning and investment advice;
  • Advise on asset allocation, portfolio construction and general financial planning;
  • Recommend appropriate wealth preservation or wealth enhancing solutions;
  • Ensure each client experiences the best possible service.

· Participate in client appreciation events, prospecting events and client educational offerings as requested.

· Participate and/or complete required meetings, training, certification and continuing education requirements.

Industry Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a financial planning and/or investment advisory setting;
  • Currently hold an active Series 6 or 7 licenses.
  • Currently hold an active Series 63 & 65 or 66 licenses.
  • Currently hold active Life, Health, and LTC Licenses.
  • Active CFP designation or intention to obtain CFP in next 2 – 4 years.
  • Active AIF designation or intention to obtain AIF designation
  • Clean U-4 and U-5 history.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Ability to build trust and confidence among clients and prospects.
  • Inherently warm and friendly personality with ability to build personal rapport with clients.
  • Passion for investments and all things financial, with working knowledge and experience in all aspects of wealth preservation, wealth transfer, charitable giving and retirement planning.
  • Experience with 401(k) and qualified retirement plan servicing, management, compliance, and fiduciary responsibilities
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Excellent relationship management skills.
  • Excellent attitude and an extraordinary client service orientation, with a genuine interest in serving and caring for clients.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
