Mountain View Veterinary Care was founded by Dr. Melissa Ackerman in November of 2020 and received AAHA accreditation 6 months later. We are located in western Pennsylvania where we have magnificent mountainous areas for outdoor recreation, historic attractions and family-friendly activities like whitewater rafting, laurel caverns for exploring and much more. The practice is 45 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh. You can also experience the culture of arts, sports, architecture, and a large selection of restaurants within a 30-mile radius.

We are looking for a veterinarian that believes in our same values and has empathy, compassion and understanding for the clients we service and the pets we care for. Our veterinarians have the opportunity to learn and grow, with as much or as little mentoring as desired. We are a full-service hospital with state-of-the-art equipment that offers a wide range of veterinary services in the following areas:

* Routine health care including wellness exams, lab work, treatment of injuries and treatment of illness

* Diagnostics including exams, in house blood machines, ultrasound and digital x-ray

* Therapeutic laser for postoperative pain control, arthritis and many other forms of inflammation and skin lesions

* Routine surgery including spays, neuters, prophylactic gastropexies, mass removals and others

* Dentals including digital dental x-ray and surgical tooth extractions

* Reproductive services including ovulation timing; vaginal, surgical, and scoped transcervical artificial inseminations; elective caesarian sections

* OFA and German radiographic health certifications

* Reproductive work not required, but we do have a large breeder clientele that may occasionally need clinical support and understanding

Requirements:

* Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree, or equivalent

* Valid Pennsylvania Veterinary License or able to obtain

* 1 year of experience working in a veterinary practice preferred, but not mandatory

* New Graduates Welcome

* Must possess exceptional people skills

* Ability to communicate effectively and clearly with clients and team members
