Description

Colorado Academy seeks a Technology Specialist to join our Technology Department. The department is responsible for the maintenance of all technology related school infrastructure and support of all school constituents. This is a full-time, 12-month position that reports directly to the Director of Technology.

The technology specialist will be involved with all aspects of the department from troubleshooting issues for faculty and students to assisting with hardware configuration. The primary responsibility of the position will be to provide general tech support for students, faculty, and staff as well as setup, maintenance, and repair of computers, iPads, accounts, printers, and other school equipment. This position will also serve as a backup in the absence of the network administrator.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of experience working in technical support or a similar field
  • Demonstrated aptitude and inclination to learn new and complex technology and willingness to pursue professional development opportunities on an ongoing basis
  • Work effectively with a wide range of constituencies including faculty staff, students, and parents
  • Familiarity with basic networking concepts to include switches, VLANs, wireless networks, and best security practices
  • Experience troubleshooting computers (Mac & Windows) and mobile devices (iPads, iPhones, Androids, etc.)
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and on a team
  • Experience with mobile device management (e.g. JAMF), directory management (e.g. Azure, Google Workspace), or Student Information Systems (e.g. Blackbaud) is preferred
Physical Requirements
  • Lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds
  • Pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to climb ladders and work from heights of up to 5’

The pay range for the position is $50,000-$70,000. Although $50,000-$70,000 is a good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible compensation at the time of posting, Colorado Academy reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range. Any wage differential that may exist for the position does not relate to sex, gender or gender identity, but relates solely to a seniority system, a merit system, or relevant education, training and/or experience.
