Supervising Physician (Remote)

This position is part of the VBA MDE (Veterans Benefits Administration Medical Disabilities Examinations) program.

• Start date: ASAP pending very brief credentialing
• Supervise Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to complete C&P exams (Compensation and Pension exams)
• No treatment and no prescribing involved whatsoever, this is simply a requirement for the VBA MDE Contract with the VA

Minimum Qualifications of Supervising Physician

• Active State License
• MD/DO
• State guidelines outlined by the SDBMOE must be followed
• Must be willing to sign and complete a board approved practice agreement with each NP/PA they will be supervising (all NP/PAs are not prescribing or treating)
• All NP/PAs completing Compensation & Pension exams have the resources needed to do their job, and there are dedicated staff members available for any questions or concerns
• Must be willing to complete all onboarding requirements, documentation, and credentialing tasks
• BLS
