AltaStaff is currently hiring 1099 Independent Contractors - Nurse Practitioners NP-C to review UAS Assessments all over NYS! Join our dynamic team!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for reviewing and making recommendations on consumer assessments for long term care services and supports
• Maintain current knowledge of regulatory changes pertaining to quality and validity of assessments
• Assess cases presented and utilize clinical competencies to review and validate assessment outcomes
• Work collaboratively to monitor and address clinical quality and gaps in care
• Provide clinical and educational assistance to support project initiatives
• Demonstrate communication skills necessary to interpret age-specific responses
• Participate in performance, improvement, and quality assurance activities and related meetings
• Provide clinical and educational support to meet program goals
• Meet all standards established for this position as outlined in the corresponding annual performance criteria and bonus template for this position
• Perform other duties as may be assigned by Management

Required Licensure

Current NY State Board Certified Nurse Practitioner Licensure

Requirements

• 2+ years practicing experience as a Nurse Practitioner
• Computer literacy? ability to navigate new and emerging technology; ability to perform telehealth assessment
• Highly developed written and oral communication skills; strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a stressful and changing environment? and proven ability to work with community groups
• Must be fully vaccinated

Preferred Experience

• 2+ years Work experience with the adult/geriatric populations; home care experience, experience working with individuals with physical or developmental disabilities
• Knowledge of long term care services and programs
