Our office located in Lincoln, RI is seeking an intern to work with our Claims Operations Support Team. This is a paid internship and the working hours are 37.5 hours per week during the summer months.

Our internship is designed for individuals who have completed at least their freshman year from an accredited college/university and will be continuing their undergraduate studies in the Fall.

Job Responsibilities:

Our internship will involve a number of training opportunities to provide foundational skills and knowledge of the insurance industry and the support functions necessary to support our front line claims handlers to provide superior customer service. The responsibilities will generally entail assisting our local team with the processing of electronic and/or physical claims correspondence and transferring information into our claims systems and developing an understanding of our claims systems, processes and workflows.

• Solid organizational and time management skills
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs
• Flexible and willing to learn how to use a variety of computer programs
