The company is growing and currently seeking an experienced Project
Manager to oversee work within the Industrial sector including Energy (oil/gas & power/ renewables) and Transportation (railroad & infrastructure).

SR. PROJECT MANAGER

The Sr. Project Manager position is responsible for the overall management and direction on multiple construction projects including the plans, budgets, schedules, and controls. This position is the main project contact with the client and monitors construction and financial activities to ensure proper project completion. This position may be assigned on‐site manager for any project. The Sr. Project Manager shall lead by example and uphold the mission and values of JR Jensen.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Lead with a safety-first work approach in words and actions.
  • Build and maintain lasting positive relationships with project stakeholders to facilitate project activities.
  • Manage the assigned projects and support development for Assistant Project Managers.
  • Review and ensure all safety plans and training is complete prior to starting a project.
  • Work with estimating, superintendents, and foremen to plan, organize, and support field activities.
  • Lead and/or assist with estimating potential projects.
  • Establish project objectives, and ensure utilization of policies, procedures and performance standards within company policies and owner contract specifications.
  • Confer with supervisors to discuss field matters regarding work process and construction problems.
  • Manage project with on‐site supervision to ensure project is completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Investigate potentially serious situations regarding staff, safety, quality, and implement corrective measures.
  • Represent company in each project meeting.
  • Work with contract administrator to manage financial aspects of contracts to protect company’s financial and repetitional interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with the owner.
  • Procure supplies and materials to complete project.
  • Ensure labor, equipment, and materials are ready to execute the project with safety and quality.
  • Ensure pre-mobilization checklist complete to start the project.
  • Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers, and clients.
  • Update and distribute job reports including work progress, costs and scheduling.
  • Proactively develop positive relationships with subcontractors, submit scope and change orders timely, and resolve subcontractor issues.
  • Review subcontract, equipment rental, and material invoices and code to proper job cost codes.
  • Prepare and submit cash flow information to owner
  • Support accounting in monthly billings as needed
  • Submit project change orders within 7 days of owner request.
  • Distribute meeting minutes within 3 days of meeting
  • Return calls and emails within 24 hours of receipt.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Must possess a BS/BA in construction workeragement or Engineering field or have extensive experience.
  • Must possess 5-10 + years of construction workeragement experience.

Preferred Skills

  • Should have highly proficient written and verbal communication skills
  • Should have self-motivation, high client dedication, and display exceptional project management skills.
  • Should be able to manage multiple projects at a high level of proficiency and have excellent follow up skills with all stakeholders.
  • Should be positive, professional and polished.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Project, and P6 scheduling software.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
