REQUIREMENT
ARCTOS is seeking a passionate Lead Software Engineer to help lead a team developing next generation assessment and repair capabilities for critical United States aircraft systems. In this role, candidates will have direct input into all software aspects of the technology and will be expected to help design, document, and develop appropriate solutions to enable the desired capability.
You should be comfortable taking on complex technical problems, and developing and managing a technical team’s approach. You should be comfortable with ambiguity and forging technical strategies and novel approaches to difficult challenges; our small team setting will provide you opportunity for outsized impact. Actively participate in the design, build, test, implementation, and sustainment phases of product development programs.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Comfortable in multiple programming languages and approaches to interfacing between them
Familiarity with the following technologies:
Self-driven work ethic; solid teaming, problem solving, and communications skills
Interest in technology research and development for National security solutions
Ability to obtain and retain a security clearance
EDUCATIONAL, CLEARANCE AND CERTIFICATION
At least 5 years practical experience in software engineering
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or other similarly relevant discipline
PHYSICAL/WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Office and electronic laboratory environments
TRAVEL
Travel (5-10%) is required and will be performed under the guidelines of Federal Travel Regulations (FTR) and/or Joint Travel Regulations (JTR).
