Software DEVELOPER

Join Radian’s professional services team in Franklin, TN to support our business strategy and merchandising analysis projects. Our goal is to utilize a consumer-focused approach across sales, merchandising analytics and supply chain. The goal is to identify substantial opportunities for our clients. You will be part of a team that develops leading edge Retail, Supplier and Foodservice analytics utilizing and developing proprietary business planning processes. The ideal candidate has strong critical thinking, an analytical mindset and creative development skills with attention to details.

Role Summary

The Software Developer will help improve the functionality and two-way communication of Radian’s analytical toolset primarily through the Tableau API’s and front-end JavaScript development. As Radian’s visualizations and tools have become more intricate, the limitation of existing tools has become apparent and custom API’s and forms are needed. The Software Developer will develop, implement, and maintain the front-end of our website and toolset.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain front-end code
• Manage code repository and version control
• Develop front-end logic and UI design that interacts and blends with Tableau dashboards
• Utilize the Tableau JavaScript API to enhance our Tableau data visualizations
• Capture user inputs and send data to backend processes
• When software upgrades are available, assess impact on existing tools
• Work with Business and Technical Analysts to develop forms that meet business requirements and design standards

• Lead the development and integration of Radian’s web site with advanced data visualization (e.g., Tableau dashboards)
• Tableau Desktop dashboard development and maintenance

Capabilities

• Demonstrates advanced critical thinking to solve complex data and analytical problems
• Strong aptitude with data and information management tools
• Technically proficient in JavaScript, networking protocols, version control, CD / CI, HTML, and CSS
• Proficiency in UI design
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with tight deadlines

Experience

• 3 years of JavaScript
• 3 years of HTML and CSS or equivalent framework experience (e.g., Angular, React)
• 2 years jQuery (preferred)
• 2 years of Tableau development (preferred)

Education

• Bachelors’ degree (Required)
• Major in Engineering, MIS, Business Analytics or Computer Science (Preferred)
