Fire and Water is a neighborhood smoke shop. For over 10 years we have been providing the highest quality customer service for cannabis smoking essentials, CBD, and herbal supplements. We have a team player atmosphere and strive to support one another for the success of all.

We are looking for a Retail Team Member for our Ashland and Medford location who can provide top notch, one of a kind, premium customer service. Candidates with strong communication skills who can make customers feel welcome in our store will stand out. You will help identify customer needs and answer questions about our products and recommend solutions. The right person for this position will have positive attitude and be a team player with an abundance of product knowledge. A desire to promptly resolve potential customer issues will make you successful in this role. Ultimately, you will ensure that customers leave our store satisfied and wanting to come back.

Responsibilities

• Greet and direct customers
• ID for age verification
• Provide accurate information (e.g. product features, pricing and after-sales services)
• Answer customers’ questions about specific products/services
• Conduct price and feature comparisons to facilitate purchasing
• Cross-sell products
• Ensure shelves are fully stocked and faced
• Maintain the stores cleanliness
• Manage returns of merchandise
• Coordinate with Team Members to provide excellent customer service (especially during peak times)
• Inform customers about discounts and special offers
• Stay up-to-date with new products

Skills

• Proven work experience as a Retail Sales Representative, Customer Service Associate or similar role
• Understanding of the retail sales process
• Understanding of retail merchandizing
• Familiarity with consumer behavior principles
• Knowledge of inventory stocking procedures
• Basic math skills
• Excellent communication skills, capable of building trusting relationships
• Ability to perform in fast-paced environments
• Flexibility to work various shifts
• High school degree
• Trouble Shooting
• Computer Skills: email, Adobe, Google Docs, web research, social media
• Organized
• BA in Marketing or related field is a plus
