Seven Acre Dairy Company is southern Wisconsin’s newest premiere hospitality destination!

After construction is complete in December 2022, this historic cheese factory, located just minutes from downtown Madison in the charming village of Paoli, WI, will be reimagined as a luxury 8-room boutique hotel, full-service restaurant and bar, cafe, and working micro-dairy. The Kitchen + Bar offers breathtaking views of the river and our newly restored 7 acre outdoor gardens, walking paths and event space.

THE KITCHEN + BAR

The Kitchen + Bar at Seven Acre will honor the farmstead cooking of seasons past and celebrate the farms and fields of Wisconsin today! We are seeking experienced part time and full time servers and hosts for The Kitchen + Bar at Seven Acre. The Kitchen + Bar is open for dinner service Wednesday - Saturday and Brunch on Saturday and Sunday.

POSITION

We are looking for individuals with fine dining experience that includes knowledge of wine and cocktails. The team at Seven Acre is committed to service rooted in true Midwestern hospitality. Our servers value teamwork: communication, time management, collaboration, and accountability are all essential to ensure that the team is successful. This position has a base wage of $8.00 per hour + tips- minimum wages for employees will be $25 - $30 per hour.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Verbally welcomes guests immediately upon seating, gives a “tour” of the menu offerings starting with Beverage Menus, and explains a minimum of three different items. Provides a “show-and-tell” of the different menus to guests.
• Using acquired menu item knowledge, offers menu suggestions, answers questions, and anticipates guests’ needs.
• Knows liquor liability laws, takes steps to visually assure that age identification is legitimate and practices responsible beverage service with all guests.
• Takes drink and food orders, delivers food to guests.
• Ensures food and drink items meet guests’ satisfaction.
• Attends to any additional guest needs.
• Occasionally answers telephone.
• Completes daily and weekly side work.
• Act as a teammate to all coworkers.
• Acts in a positive manner with coworkers, guests, and public.

Order Processing

• Enters drink and food orders on the Toast POS register.
• Prepares non-alcoholic drinks.
• Prepares, presents, and receives payment for guests’ checks.

Bussing and Resetting Tables

• Maintains guests’ needs throughout their dining experience by removing dishware and refilling beverages.
• Removes remaining dishes/glasses from tables, carries a manageable load to the dish room.
• Uses sanitizing solution to wipe down tables, chairs, booths and table bases. Sweeps floor area around table.
• Resets tables using designated silverware, napkins and condiments.

Housekeeping

• Cleans and stocks server stations.
• Sorts and rolls silverware.
• Cleans and stocks designated sections.
• May participate in sweeping, mopping, glass polishing, table setup and arrangements.
