Join Link Snacks, Inc. as a Senior Graphic Designer and become a core member of our Marketing Creative Services team. The Senior Graphic designer is responsible for overseeing all design projects from concept to delivery for both digital and print creative solutions. Duties include designing original pieces, reviewing junior designers work, and ensuring high quality in all instances. This role supports all Link Snacks brand creative strategies and standards across a variety of platforms including packaging design, pre-press, print design, and digital media.

The ideal candidate has well-developed critical thinking skills and can process, react to, and solve problems efficiently showcasing creativity and effective communication. We are looking for someone with proven experience multitasking and managing multiple timelines. Working under the direction of a Creative Services Team Manager, you will take ownership of design development to create graphics that will drive results! You will be accountable for being a steward of the brand guidelines and company values. You will be expected to work collaboratively and build relationships with cross-functional team members. Specifically, you will work across these areas:

• Graphic Design – As part of our internal Creative Services team, you will collaborate with external creative agencies, pre-press vendors, and internal team members to create and deliver graphics that will drive engagement and growth. You will oversee the content creation process in collaboration with our marketing team. This will include designing original pieces, reviewing design work, refining graphics, and staying up to date with industry development and tools.
• Brand & Strategy Adherence – Ensure consistency of brand standards and creative across all mediums. Successfully translate brand positioning, consumer research, and production specifications into effective designs. Facilitate the quality assurance process of graphic reviews to ensure designs and creative assets are polished and ready for implementation and handoff for final delivery.
• Pre-press production – Understand, communicate, and follow specifications for precise mechanical file work. Contribute to and lead revisions to improve existing assets and prepare them for production.
• Planning and Management – Work collaboratively to effectively communicate marketing initiatives and design project status as part of a service-orientated function. Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously. Responsibly meet established project deadlines. Facilitate revisions and feedback from internal and external cross-functional partners. Assist in the development of the Creative Services team to achieve goals and objectives.
• Art Direction – Lead our team of 2 in-house graphic designers. Coach and mentor freelance and junior designers by example in problem solving, finalizing project design needs, and providing art direction on formatting of design deliverables. Responsible for the day-to-day oversight and development of the team. Promote collaboration between design agency partners and freelancers.
• Content Management – Responsible for archiving final files within established guardrails. Work with necessary teams to oversee smooth implementation of new content.

Required Education

• Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Visual Arts, Graphic Design, or related field or equivalent

Required Experience

• 5 years minimum demonstrated in-field experience
• Team player with a positive attitude, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a client-centered approach to work
• The proven ability to manage large projects, meet deadlines and produce deliverables in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities

• Demonstrated proficiency using technology and a wide variety of software applications on a mac-based platform, including Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects, and Acrobat) and Microsoft Office, (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Creative problem-solver with an eye for detail. Keen eye for color, fonts, trends, and engaging visual storytelling.
• Expert understanding of marketing principles and brand identity systems across a variety of touchpoints
• Willingness to deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Willingness to be hands-on at the microscopic level, as well as understand the big picture
• Strong management skills to lead freelancers and junior designers. Experience recruiting and developing direct reports
• Demonstrated understanding of print and pre-press production requirements for various print applications
• Ability to oversee all design elements from the initial conception to final delivery with minimum supervision

Preferred Experience

• Flexible packaging experience
• Photography experience (Photography, Layout, Editing, Re-touching, Composition and Lighting)
• Advanced typography skills
• CPG industry experience
• Proficiency with Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro desired. Experience with front-end web design, motion graphics, and video production is preferred.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Workfront workflow management system highly desired
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS and coding for email and email design best practices a plus
• Cinema 4D experience a plus
• Experience designing in a brand or agency environment a plus
• experience designing for digital, social, or mobile first channels/touchpoints a plus
• Strong portfolio showcasing design work: A diverse portfolio reflecting sophistication in graphic design, typography, layout, photo editing, video editing, motion graphics and general artistry
