POSITION SUMMARY:
The Scheduling Manager will oversee the Master Production Schedule as well as a team of Customer Service Representatives (CSRs). This will include scheduling, forecasting, Inventory Management, partnering on international shipments, and technology associated with the Customer Service department. A leadership position, the person in this role is expected to drive forward the goals of the organization by partnering with other departments heads and maintaining and enhancing customer relationships to provide world class services.

  • Oversee internal processes to plan, schedule, coordinate, and approve release of production orders to all manufacturing departments based on material availability and manufacturing constraints
  • Communicate proactively with internal teams to reschedule production in the event of labor and material shortages, backlogs, and other schedule interruptions
  • Analyze manufacturing capacity constraints and their impact on the master production plan and provide recommendations as needed
  • Compile, prepare, and distribute various reports regarding labor hours, items shipped, department audits, etc.
  • Work with open order report to ensure schedules are maintained and communicate changes
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for manufacturing ERP software and other tools that support production & materials planning, capacity planning, and operational management
  • Develop inventory plans to maintain target inventory levels
  • Assist with the introduction, modification, or discontinuation of products including maintaining parts numbers, inventory and order levels, and product lists, and communicating the status of the change
  • Evaluate, train, and manage staff performance to agreed customer service levels and standards
  • Plan, prioritize, and delegate work tasks of CSRs
  • Review customer complaints and track customer complaint resolution
  • Develop and implement changes to customer service policies, procedures, and strategies as required
  • Ensure budget requirements are met
  • Manage the export process and ensure compliance with U.S. and foreign government laws and regulations, and international law
  • Processes International orders to be shipped
  • Expedites export arrangements and maintains current information on export tariffs, licenses, and restrictions
  • Oversees the completion of necessary documentation associated with international distribution
  • Communicate with export related authorities, sales representatives, and customers to ensure efficient, positive relations
  • Monthly/weekly collaboration calls with customers as needed to solidify communications, product flow, and order acknowledgement
  • Monitor and analyze data and accuracy of reporting data base information to determine customer service output levels
  • Manage EDI document processing & relationships with EDI service providers
  • Provide weekly metrics to management and individual team members
  • Manage preseason order processing & reporting
  • Manage returns & credit processing, unauthorized return processes, RMAs/SROs, discrepancy claims, and shipment validation reports
  • Other duties as assigned

HOURS:*
This is a full-time 40 hour per week role working Monday – Friday between the hours of 7:00am and 5:00pm. Potential for occasional overtime and Saturdays.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:*

  • 3 years of production planning/scheduling experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment using an ERP syste
  • Minimum 2 years of leadership experience
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking in English

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:*

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or similar field
  • Infor CloudSuite Industrial/ Syteline ERP version 9.0 or higher
  • APICS, ISM, or similar certification(s)

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, ETC:*

  • Able to communicate and collaborate with a variety of departments including Sales and Marketing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Production, Customer Service and others to adequately meet market needs of new products
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Powerpoint
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to interpret multiple data inputs, make data-driven decisions based on the information, and clearly communicate decisions to stakeholders
  • Must be highly self-motivated, work with minimal supervision able to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • In-depth knowledge of customer service principles and practices
  • Current with relevant technology trends and applications
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to stay abreast with the changes in export laws and regulations that may have an impact on the operations of the organization
  • Communicates with others in a straightforward and honest manner; accountable for actions, maintains confidentiality, and supports company mission
  • Ability to adapt to change; open to innovative ideas, takes on new responsibilities, handles pressure, and adjusts plans to meet changing needs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:*
The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to the manufacturing areas where under certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment, may work near moving equipment, and exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes, and noise.
