Summary
The Sales Manager General Industry is responsible for the sales interests of the TRUMPF organization’s laser technology and additive manufacturing products that are born out of the relationships in the United States, primarily as they relate to aerospace, medical, and general industries. This role oversees the regional sales managers of the eastern United States, as well as supporting the development of oversees business through key account managers.
Principle Duties & Responsibilities
  • Derive individual targets for team members
  • Steer sales team by sales KPI based on the sales funnel
  • Manage, lead and develop the team of Regional Sales Managers (RSM)
  • Conduct regular team meeting according to Synchro+ methods
  • Introduce and implement the industry approach with regard to the TRUMPF sales activities:
  • Lead all selling activities over all products of laser technology and additive manufacturing with regard to general industry in the eastern US
  • Strategic development of customer's business in cooperation with industry and application management
  • Represent the interests of the General Industry sales team within TRUMPF
  • Work with marketing team and promote lead generation within the sales team
  • Analyze results of and derive measures from process and strategic customer surveys
  • Initiate new applications at selected accounts
  • Set up cooperation's with external partners and integrators
  • Participate on relevant conferences, exhibitions and engage in relevant associations for target industries
  • Coordinate with the Aapplications team to insure activities support the strategic focus industries
  • Any additional responsibilities as deemed necessary by management
  • Adhere to all company guidelines
Travel
  • Willingness to travel is a must
  • Must maintain Valid Driver’s License
  • Occasional overnights as needed
Physical Requirement
  • Normal amount of sitting and standing, average mobility to move around an office, and ability to conduct normal amount of work on a computer
Education & Experience
  • Bachelors degree or higher in Engineering, Business Management, or other technical related sciences
  • Professional background in industrial capital investment cycles
  • Or combination of Education and Work Experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Microsoft Office; Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
