RMC is hiring for an Information Assurance Specialist to support our customers in Indian Head, MD (Main Side). The selected applicant will provide Information Assurance (IA) support to US Navy Systems. The ideal candidate will have a variety of experience providing Information Assurance and Cybersecurity solutions for customers across the DoD.

Responsibilities:

• Applicant must be knowledgeable and have experience with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process to include a working knowledge of the various steps/stages within the process.
• Applicant must be knowledgeable of the relevant NIST Special Publications guidance as it pertains to the RMF, specifically the NIST SP 800-53A – Revision 4 for Assessing Security & Privacy Controls.
• Applicant must be able to participate in all Cybersecurity/IA Activities, including but not limited to ACAS & SCAP Compliance system vulnerability scanning, IAVM Compliance, STIG/SRG Compliance, VRAM maintenance, centralized antivirus support, RMF A&A process, security authorization package training and processing, system hardening, architectural diagram and viewpoint review, log reviews, and package validation.
• Applicant must have strong verbal and written communication skills and be detail-oriented.
• The selected applicant shall have, or be willing to achieve, Navy Qualified Validator (NQV) appointment. NQV Level I or II status, with ultimate goal of achieving NQV Level III appointment.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree and eight (8) years of experience is required. Eight (8) years of experience or a Navy Qualified Validator (NQV) appointment Level I status or higher, is required without a degree.
• The selected applicant must have DoD 8570/5239 IAT Level 2 Certification (Security + CE) or IAT Level 3 Certification (CASP or CISSP) and the ability to work independently and as part of a team in researching data and developing analytical techniques and methodologies.
• Working knowledge of the Navy’s eMASS system, is preferred.

Security Clearance:

An active DoD Secret clearance is required to start. A Top Secret clearance is required for this position. Applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

RMC employees may be subject to current COVID protocol requirements in order to access government facilities.
