Vectrus seeks a results-driven individual with strong software automation experience in support of web application development in an Agile Software Development environment. As a QA Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and execution of a modular automation test framework. The ideal candidate should have demonstrated experience building test automation frameworks and possess experience implementing automated testing strategies at all layers of the application. A strong background in programming combined with a passion for software quality and test automation is highly desired.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain, design, and implement test automation frameworks for a continuous integration and execution model
• Develop automation scripts and participate in peer reviews
• Develop a repeatable process for designing, developing, and executing scripts
• Identify test automation opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness
• Conduct tests, document and analyze test results and present findings to development teams
• Develop and maintain test plans and test cases with associated test data based upon functional and non-functional requirements
• Participate in all phases of software development lifecycle
• Preparing reports on all aspects related to software testing carried out.
• Participating in project meetings including Agile/Scrum grooming, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and daily stand-ups.
• Collaborate within an agile software development process with software engineers, subject matter experts and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Education:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software development, or a related field or experience
• Experience:
• Hands-on experience developing and executing software automation frameworks.
• Hands-on experience in OOP languages like Python, C#, etc.
• Hands-on experience with one or more querying languages such as PostgreSQL (preferred), SQL, MySQL
• Experience in some or all the following is desired:
• Agile software development
• Python, Typescript, C#
• Automated software test development and execution
• Automation testing tools TestComplete, Selenium, etc.
• PostgreSQL or SQL and Database Operations
• Azure DevOps
• Docker
• Bash/Batch/PowerShell scripting
• Code Coverage Tools
• Visual Studio
• Source control solutions such as Git/GitHub
• Skills:
• Ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment.
• Ability to verbally communicate effectively.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
