WHAT YOU’LL DO

The Journey Health Human Resource Consultant will deliver high quality advisory and administrative services on a range of human resources issues, procedures, and policies consistent with employee best practices, legislation, and guidelines. You will manage the employee life cycle including recruitment, onboarding, development, retention, and offboarding. You will maintain a positive employee relations culture by proactively assessing the work environment to identify and mitigate risk situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise on a comprehensive range of human resources activities including recruitment, talent development, performance management, policy compliance, diversity & inclusion, and other related human resource functional areas
• Contribute to business and human resources functions by identifying and building organizational capabilities, behaviors, structures, and processes
• Drive change management practices to enable organizational effectiveness
• Coach leaders to accelerate leadership effectiveness and leader assimilation
• Develop, revise, and implement human resource policies and procedures
• Manage the recruitment, onboarding, and orientation of new hires to deliver an exceptional introductory experience
• Implement innovative workforce development and retention programs to foster employee engagement and commitment
• Ensure business practices are in accordance with human resource policies and federal, state, and local regulatory standards and labor laws
• Perform other related activities as assigned

WHAT YOU NEED

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field
• Minimum 3 years of human resources experience
• Current SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP credential, or willingness to obtain one within 12 months of hire
• Extensive working knowledge of employee relations principles, practices, and procedures
• Self-starter with the open-mindedness and vigor needed to thrive in a start-up environment
• Other desired attributes: Innovative mindset, strong influencing skills, ability to build strong rapport across organization, ability to mediate conflicts, demonstrated business acumen
