Job Description :

The physical therapist is responsible for providing therapy and assessments for infants and toddlers as a multi-disciplinary team member, and participating in all required meetings. The physical therapist must be able to work independently, as well as, in teams while maintaining a positive level of interaction with IFSP team and clients.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Complete all training requirements and participate in meetings.
  • Provide therapy/interventions/assessments with families/clients in natural environments (family homes, libraries, child development centers) and some telehealth.
  • Collaborate as a multi-disciplinary team member for program planning and delivery of services for the birth to 4 population.
  • Complete any and all documentation forms required by company.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere and professional relationships with co-workers, colleagues, clients and clients’ families.
  • Comply with all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Comply with all state and federal laws
  • Adhere to scheduled hours and project a professional image at all times.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Clinical Supervisor.
  • Adhere to any and all company written and oral policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of evidence-based and best practices in the field of Physical Therapy.
  • Provide services within the scope of practice as defined by the state laws governing the practice of Physical Therapy.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Graduate of a CAPTE-accredited physical therapist education program with a MPT, MSPT, or DPT.
  • Holds current license and/or registration in the state (as applicable).
  • Holds current DC Department of Health license.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proof of negative TB test within the past twelve (12) months
  • Physical and/or other medical examinations/clearance.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in early intervention or pediatric rehabilitative services preferred.
  • Experience with multi-disciplinary assessments and evaluations.

Experience or strong interest in providing services in homes.

  • CPR certification (can be provided by company)

Additional Notes

Background check and drug screenings will be performed pre-employment and routinely.

Pay: $75.00 - $95.00 per hour
