Patient Service Representative-Insurance Verification-Front Desk
An expanding urology practice is looking for a full-time Patient Coordinator in the Austin area. Excellent opportunity for a self-motivated person, willing to provide quality patient services and be a part of a fast-paced, energetic team. Able to multi-task with great interpersonal skills in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Essential Responsibilities

· Responsible for front-office functions, including patient relations, check-in/check-out, scheduling, and answering phones

· Ensures that all patient information is accurate and uploaded properly in the EMR

· Ensures that patient paperwork is scanned into the EMS on a daily basis

· Assists with scanning records, referrals, and test results into patient charts

· Assist with explaining benefits and copayments

· Record all payments and prepare daily deposits

· Ability to maintain a professional attitude under pressure

· Insurance Verification

· Must be a Team player, able to follow directions, and eager to learn

· Must be able to multitask

Minimum Qualifications

· Minimum of 2 years experience in a physician’s office or facility

· Knowledge of insurance plans, including Medicare a plus

· Computer skills, including Word, Excel

· Urology experience a plus

· EMR, Athena experience a plus.
