POSITION SUMMARY

Under supervision of the Administrator the Occupational Therapist serves as a member of the Individual Behavior Support Team (IBST) for residents who require occupational therapy. The Occupational Therapist plans, implements and administers the portion of the Individualized Behavior Support Plan (IBSP) relevant to their scope of practice and expertise.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

• Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy with current licensure or certification as required by state
• One (1) year experience in direct service to adults with developmental disabilities

Preferred:

• Two (2) years’ experience in direct service to adults with developmental disabilities
• Knowledge of and experience working with adults with mental illness

Work Locations: We have facilities in the following cities below. Candidates can work at one location or multiple locations if they want more hours:

• Stockton, CA
• Vacaville, CA
• Antioch, CA
• Oakley, CA
• Elverta, CA
• Herald, CA

Hours & Shifts: These facilities are open 24/7, so the shifts and hours worked can be very flexible. Each facility needs someone to work 10-15 hours per month, depending on the need of the residents.

Telecare operates a number of Community Crisis Homes (CCHs) and Enhanced Behavior Support Homes (EBSHs) that help people who have intellectual and developmental challenges to stabilize crises, build personal daily living skills and strengths, establish patterns of health and wellness, prepare for the transition to their next living environment, and prevent readmission to institutional settings.

CCH programs allow for residents to live there for up to 18 months. We focus on helping each resident prepare for their next home where they can live for a longer period of time.

EBSH programs can be a forever home if that is what the resident needs and prefers. We offer enhanced support services, including flexible staffing according to resident needs, 24/7 supervision, a variety of activities designed around the resident’s individual preferences and needs, and access to the community with staff-supervised transportation.

Pay: $80.00 - $200.00 per hour
