We are looking for an experienced Nursing Informatics Project Manager to join our dedicated team. This a full-time position M-F.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assists in the implementation of new health information management software products obtained by the facility
  • Coordinates and monitors the analysis, design, implementation, evaluation and maintenance of all clinical informatics applications
  • Assures systems development and maintenance provides efficient workflow and processing for end users
  • Designs and delivers targeted training and remediation as necessary and evaluates effectiveness of interventions
  • Coach, mentor, and provide one-on-one, at-the-elbow support to all users
  • Will work with the Director of Nursing of Clinical Operations and other facility leadership to further develop and refine informatics strategies and vision that will improve clinical outcomes, streamlining and optimizing clinical systems workflows and decreasing operational costs
  • Facilitate communication and act as an advocate and change agent across all levels of the organization to promote the adoption of new processes and technologies
  • Assist in the development of policies and procedures related to clinical information systems

License Required: Current Idaho RN license

Education and Experience:

  • BSN from an accredited nursing school
  • Master's Degree (or currently enrolled in a Master's program) in clinical informatics or a related information systems field
  • Prior experience in nursing informatics preferred
  • At least 2 years' experience in hospital information systems, preferably Cerner Millenium
  • Experience with electronic health record implementation, training, and modifications
  • Experience with analyzing clinical systems and identifying continuous improvement opportunities

Skills & Abilities:

  • Advanced computer skills including knowledge of software applications such as Microsoft Word, Visio, Excel, Outlook, Access, and PowerPoint
  • Strong proven communication skills with upper leadership, business office, and clinical staff
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with strong prioritizing skill
  • Demonstrated ability to be self-directed with excellent organization, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Strong statistical skills and interpretive abilities
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Recognizes, respects, and effectively responds to values and cultural beliefs of patients, their families, and hospital personnel
  • Demonstrates a positive leadership role
  • Encourages and promotes a positive working environment

Physical Tasks:

  • Ability to lift 25 - 50 pounds, which may require pushing, pulling, and essentially utilizing a full range of body movement

Environmental Conditions:

  • Indoors in a climate-controlled environment
  • Patient care environment with potential exposure to unpleasant odors, to blood and body fluids which may carry infection, to infectious disease, and to chemical and electrical hazards
  • Occasional exposure to outdoor climate

Pay: $66,100.00 - $118,300.00 per year
