The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant who has graduated from a NP or PA program of graduate studies, who has acquired advanced, specialized clinical knowledge and skills to provide health care.
The NP/PA promotes health and the prevention of illness and injury. The NP/PA practices autonomously and in collaboration with other health care professional to treat and manage patient health problems.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the direction of the Cardiologist, the Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) will assist the attending physician in all aspects of general hospital/office care for selected patients.
All work will be performed in close collaboration with the attending physician responsible for the patient. The NP/PA acts as a member of an interdisciplinary professional team providing assistance with history and physicals, rounds, orders, and documentation as needed.

Demonstrates proficiency in the use of EMR for history and physical and other notes on patient status on clinic and hospital patients.
This position is a full-time placement Monday - Friday 8am-5pm. Weekend hours are variable.

Must be licensed in Louisiana
Clinical experience preferred, but talented new graduate will be considered.

salary based on experience and competency and work professionalism.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
