Description

We are searching for a full-time Pharmacist registered and licensed in Florida for a non-sterile compounding pharmacy based in Florida.

The Pharmacist is responsible for receiving, reviewing, and interpreting physician's orders, dispensing medication to patients, and working within a team of Pharmacy Technicians and operations personnel. You will be working on-site and partnering with other Pharmacists or the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to provide appropriate support. Work is in a high-paced environment focusing on non-sterile drugs. The ideal candidate should have experience working in a pharmacy and collaborating with physicians to treat patients -developing compound formulations that are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise compounding performed by pharmacy technicians to ensure that these activities are in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable state and federal laws.

• Review prescriptions issued by authorized prescribers to assure accuracy and determine formulas and ingredients needed.
• Perform accurate compounding procedures and dispense prescribed medications, drugs, and other pharmaceuticals for patient care
• Manage chemical inventory and assess ingredients to determine identity, purity, and strength
• Provide consultation to patients and customers on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and medication storage
• Supervise the maintenance and cleaning of the compounding environment, equipment, and tools
• Report out-of-specification observations, deviations, and modifications to the Quality Control/Compliance Officer
• Train other compounding pharmacy personnel on technique and procedures
• Conduct or supervise environmental monitoring (e.g. recording temperatures, checking incubator samples)
• Assist pharmacist duties in various departments, including data entry, retail, administrative, and compounding lab
• Actively pursue personal licenses in other states and remain in good standing with the licensed states for non-resident pharmacy licenses.
• Complies and stays up to date with USP < 795>, < 797>, and < 800.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited
• School of pharmacy
• Registered Pharmacist in good standing with the state of practice.
• Licensed in Florida.

Pay: From $98,000.00 per year
