Marketing Strategist

Department: Marketing | Reports To: Director of Marketing

Status: Exempt

Pay Grade: Salary | Full-Time

Summary:

The Marketing Strategist will aid the department in the development and realization of new market opportunities with fresh and effective promotional materials, campaigns and brand synergy. Champions strong data-driven analysis to provide positive outcomes using Casino player market analysis and strategic marketing.

Tasks:

  • Supports the development, implementation, and optimization of new and existing marketing strategies, in collaboration with the marketing team, internal departments, leadership, and vendors
  • Creates, analyzes and delivers full-spectrum marking-related campaigns, as needed
  • Utilizes insight from marketing databases, industry/regional market data trends, search engine marketing, Google analytics, digital and traditional campaign analyses, internal stakeholder collaboration, and leadership guidance to develop, analyze, implement and optimize programs to drive revenue, support sales initiative and optimize marketing performance
  • Conducts in-depth research to identify market opportunities and Guest preferences to support campaign creations
  • Sets specific marketing goals that align with the overall Casino’s direction and business goals
  • Tracks and measures marketing outcomes including marketing activities, response, new Guest growth, retention and ROI
  • Works with Director of Marketing to develop player development strategies and actionable goals, to increase ADT, visits, and coin in
  • Analyzes player performance and marketing metrics
  • Generates innovative ideas to promote the Casino brand and property-wide offerings
  • Develops business cases to support new marketing strategies, budget requests, projects and marketing plans
  • Uses Guest feedback to ensure player satisfaction
  • Presents recommendations to Management that are supported by trends, documentation, analysis, and reports/measurements of marketing initiatives
  • Continuously monitors the marketplace and offers strategic thought to leadership on trends, relevant news and findings
  • Provides analysis and recommendations that help shape brand narrative, target audience and brand positioning, ensuring brand consistency through all marketing channels

Experience, Qualifications and Education:

  • B.A. in marketing-related field or experience of 4 years in a brand or strategy marketing position
  • Experience with a CRM or media agency or client-side experience in customer (Guest) engagement marketing
  • Proven grasp of brand strategy, communications or related areas
  • Working familiarity with data capture, digital and creative development, advertising and events
  • Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and compete projects in an organized and timely manner
  • Ability to communicate articulately and confidently with individuals at every level of the organization
  • Ability to see the big picture, apply judgement to context and make strategic decisions accordingly
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license
