As a Medical Assistant / Nurse you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office/hospital. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner. We are busy, fast paced Urology Practice seeking a full time Nurse/Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate would be a fast leaner, team oriented, and have 5 years experience in back office. The salary based on a candidate 's experience and skills. This position is a high volume, highly procedural based position.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and document basic medical history.
• Rooming patients and coordinating patient flow.
• Recording vital signs.
• Arrange hospital admissions and laboratory services
• Check with patients and type up patients charts
• Assist during medical examinations
• Patient procedures, catherizations, interventions
• Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments
• Preparing and administering injections
• Refill medications and getting pre-authorizations
• Ordering medical supplies and stocking the rooms
• Answering phones
• Utilizing and managing EMR

Skills

• Proven working experience as a medical assistant or medical secretary
• Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and priorities work
• Social perceptiveness and service oriented
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software
• Degree in medical assistance

Pay: $22.00 - $35.00 per hour
