Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Primary job function is to design, develop and maintain desktop software applications that interface to Embedded applications in a Windows development environment (primarily C++ & C#).
· Leads the design process for overall product architecture, design, development and deployment
· Involved in product from inception through launch, interacting with operators and other stakeholders to both company and customer needs, and driving solutions to meet or exceed expectations
· Develops project schedules to meet company requirements while incorporating, coordinating and integrating deliverables from multiple engineering teams
· Reports to stakeholders and management on progress in a clear and concise manner.
· Investigates and debugs complex system problems and drives engineering solutions to improve or correct product or process issues.
· Knows how to adapt and improvise around technical, production or supply issues.
· Positive attitude, high energy, leadership, project management and troubleshooting skills with the ability and motivate team members to succeed.
· Hands on engineer with excellent communication (written and oral) skills and likes to solve problems and work issues on production and other test vehicles as well as in the engineering lab
· Work directly with management, technicians and customers in both a ‘sustaining’ and ‘debugging’ capacity
· Ability to work in and excel in a small company, extremely dynamic environment

Minimum Basic Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related subject, with a minimum of 7 years of industrial experience with Windows Software apps and driver development.
· Must have: Hands on experience working with, or directly on Embedded Systems and the software that either controls them or communicates with them.
· Experience in Windows Application development with C/C++, MFC, and C#
· Experience with modern development tools: (Eclipse, Visual Studio, GIT)
· Experience with profiling, performance measurement, remote debugging and crash debugging (WinDbg, Crash dumps ect..)
· Experience with Networking protocols and message Queues (TCP/IP, ZeroMQ, ect..)
· Experience with multithreading and multi process based systems.
· Experience with Modern UI design patterns
· Experience with communication interfaces (USB, Ethernet, RS232)
· Solid understanding of modern embedded HW incorporating FPGA, DAC, ADC, DDRRAM, Ethernet SPI, I2c, and Time of Flight measurements
· Solid understanding of Computer Science OS fundamentals such as threads, scheduling, caching, searches, trees, queues ect.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience with ultrasonic sensors, encoders, vision systems a big plus.
· Experience developing scientific instrumentation a plus
· Knowledgeable in Windows 10, and Linux.
· Demonstrated understanding of good software design practices, revision control, understanding of design for manufacturing, design for test, and design for reliability
