Sargent’s Nursery is an established, award winning landscape design/build firm focusing on, but not limited to, high-end residential design, installation, and maintenance. Our Landscaping Crews install landscapes for both private and commercial properties, each with its own custom plan. We commonly complete the following tasks: Retaining wall installation, Paver and Natural stone patio installation, foundation and garden plantings.

Education and Experience:

We are in search of an enthusiastic individual to lead a crew by identifying needs on a jobsite, allocating tasks, giving direction, and assisting in completing the tasks, to ensure that a quality job is performed in a timely manner. Will provide some on-the-job training, but a base of knowledge is crucial. Education or experience is preferred.

Skills Required:

As crew leader you will be responsible for the day to day installation of various landscapes with supervision of a 2-3 person crew. Crew leaders must be able to take direction from your manager, and then coordinate your crew to ensure that the job is completed at a quality level with a quick, steady pace. We need someone who is able to assess a site upon arrival and make professional decisions about tasks needing to be done; delegate tasks; identify priorities; plan ahead and manage time; communicate with others; motivate crew; and solve problems that arise with critical thinking skills. This position will always be outdoors and will involve physical labor. Valid driver’s license with ability to drive a standard truck is a must. Class B/Health Card and Pesticide applicator’s license is desirable.
