Salary Range: $16.00 - $33.00

Pay Info: Eligible for new hire sign-on bonus! Laboratory Assistant $16.00-22.50; Senior Laboratory Assistant $17.00-23.00; Pathology Technician $22.50-33.00

Department Details

This position is primarily a 6a-6:30p position in the Emergency Department with every third weekend obligation. This position can also be a Pathology Technician or Senior Laboratory Assistant position with the same hours listed previously. The majority of this position is specimen collection and phlebotomy

Job Summary

Responsibilities include phlebotomy, collecting, preparing and processing specimens biological specimens. Assists in performing laboratory activities and other assigned tasks. Aids in preparing laboratory specimens and supplies. May be responsible for entering laboratory orders and results. Ensures the accuracy and quality of laboratory data in a safe and professional work environment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or General Educational Development Diploma (GED) required.

Completion of a formal phlebotomy program, phlebotomy experience, and experience in a laboratory-related field preferred. May be required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
