Title: IT Project Coordinator

Remote Work: This position is a hybrid of on-site and remote after a training period. Hybrid schedule will be 2-3 days on-site per week.

Summary: This position is primarily responsible for organizing IT projects and running projects after they have been vetted by the business or IT Managers. You will be working closely with our IT management team to ensure that all project requirements, deadlines, and schedules are on track. Additionally, this position will also work with IT management to get a more solid project management structure in place.

Essential Functions:

• Coordinates and leads project planning sessions, coordinate new project request forms from employees/managers and coordinate with the IT Managers, employee, and 3rd parties/vendors for flawless execution of project.
• Coordinates project scope and objectives, as well as a detailed project plan to track progress. Provides project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders on project progress. ensure that all parties are informed of the impacts on schedule and budget.
• Creates and maintains comprehensive project documentation. Reports and escalates issues to management as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors’ Degree in Business or Management (or related field) and professional experience coordinating project activities OR four plus years of equivalent experience.
• 2 -3 years of project coordination/management experience.
• Experience with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices within a larger environment.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively verbally, as well as through written word and formal presentations.
• Proven analytical and organizational skills, attention to detail and experience working in a collaborative environment.
• Ability to quickly learn, follow, and support existing processes and able to recommend improvements if process gaps exist.
• Competency in Microsoft Office Suite; emphasis on Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Planner; comfort learning and using new software/applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience supporting multiple mid-large IT projects (2,000+ users).
• Experience with MS Project
• Knowledge of SAP
• CAPM or Project+ Certification
• Experience working in a hierarchical project management structure
• Experience implementing the concepts of good project management in a company
• Familiarity with PMBOK & ITIL

Supervisory Responsibility: None

Work Environment: The work environment is an office environment in a cubicle with standard temperatures and normal office noise levels.

Physical Demands: This position would be primarily sitting with little to no lifting or other physical demands.
