Job Title: IT Power Systems Administrator
General Description:
Provides technical guidance and direction in support of daily operations of Power Systems including IBMi, AIX, and Linux operating systems. This position provides leadership and direction with the design, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our Power Systems environment. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Preferred - Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity
Preferred - Security Management, Communications, OS Upgrades and PTF deployment, Independent Auxiliary Storage Pools (iASPs), and storage based replication.
Preferred - Experience in managing projects with multiple high priority deadlines from various information sources at all levels of the organization
Preferred - Successfully performed a major system hardware upgrade.
Preferred - Successfully performed a major operating system upgrade.
Preferred - Familiar with a variety of field’s concepts, practices, and procedures. Preferred - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred - In-depth knowledge of Hardware Management Console (HMC) required. Preferred - Knowledge of storage technologies.
Preferred - Resourcefulness, originality and self-discipline are required. Must use ingenuity in solving problems and meeting deadlines.
Preferred - Must be able to be on-call and work after hours as needed.
Education:
GED Preferred - High School diploma or equivalent.
Bachelors Preferred - Bachelor’s degree in a related area or 10+ years of experience in the referenced fields or related fields.

Preferred Training (0 - 6 months) - Extensive use of IBM Power Systems technologies
Licenses, Certifications, Other:
Required - Must be able to pass background check and receive a gaming license from the Chickasaw Nation Office of the Gaming Commission as required to work in gaming operations.
Required - Must possess a valid driver’s license
Required - Must be able to complete pre-employment drug test with a negative result.
Physical Requirements:
Preferred - Must be able to lift 20 lbs.

Must be able to multitask between various initiatives, incidents, and directives while still performing at a high level in each task. Must be able to remain engaged and focused, even in high-pressure situations
