Paradigm HomeCare is looking to add a talented Human Resources Specialist to our growing company. This individual will need to be very effective in the facilitation of information to current associates as well as lead the team in sourcing future talent for Paradigm HomeCare. This position requires someone who is detail oriented, self-sufficient and able to follow through.

POSITION SUMMARY
The HR Specialist works directly with the Vice President of Operations of Paradigm HomeCare to ensure all Human Resources initiatives and programs including recruiting, employee retention, and employee information management are met. This position has dotted reporting line to the CEO, and VP of Business Development.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reviews all employee changes including: new hires, terminations, employee status changes, and benefit change requests
  • Tracks data for FMLA, annual performance reviews, 45-day and 90-day reviews, and all licensure regulations.
  • Prepares materials and distributes information updates, policy and procedural changes, benefit information and any other HR-related communications. Maintains team member communication boards.
  • Trains managers and team members on the use of HCI, paychex flex, and company mileage in partnership with the Payroll Coordinator.
  • Maintains all COVID-19 employee exposures, daily COVID-19 screening tracking, quarantine logs, contact tracing, and vaccination status.
  • Maintains all team member HR files and certification/skill tracking.
  • Manages recruiting function for all Paradigm HomeCare locations.
  • Coordinates and leads all orientation processes including new hire and general orientation.
  • Responds to all unemployment claims and coordinates hearings with appropriate leadership staff.
  • Provides support to leadership staff for policy interpretation and conflict resolution. Reviews all disciplinary action notices/situations, participates in team member counseling and keeps Chief Operating Officer apprised of all issues.
  • Prepares and analyzes quality initiative data such as turnover, timely reviews, on the job injuries, and others as assigned. Presents this data to the Chief Operating Officer.
  • Assists with the planning and communication of annual benefit open enrollment.
  • Coordinates with the Executive Director team members, and senior leadership staff on training, retention and recognition activities for Paradigm HomeCare.
  • Provides support to senior leadership team to include community events, in-service postings, and other special events and projects as approved by the Chief Operating Officer.

QUALIFICATIONS

Educational Requirements and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • PHR or SPHR certification strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Human Resources role.
  • Employee relations and recruiting experience required. Healthcare and Senior Living experience preferred but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
