Position Description

This role will report to the VP, People Operations, but partner closely with the Senior Director, Operations in Lanai. This role is responsible for a variety of human resource activities, along with managing the Lanai office by planning special events, managing housing and travel, and participating in community events. We are looking for someone that will be engaged in making sure that the employees and visitors to Lanai have a great experience as an employee or as a visitor.

Responsibilities

• Interview and onboard new employees through Dayforce.
• Provide and schedule compliance and other training.
• Working closely with Farm Operations and Payroll to execute productivity premiums, bonuses, etc.
• Manage employee relations, conflict resolution, employee engagement events.
• Ensuring compliance – wage and hour, postings, Covid-19 protocols, etc.
• Leading community engagement activities in Lanai and with local business partners.
• Manage the rental housing units, travel schedules for visitors, and office management.
• Deployment of Dayforce initiatives and updates.
• Work closely with Senior Director, Operations in aligning and implementing People Operations initiatives.
• Manage leaves and worker’s comp injuries.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills, Abilities and Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of Human Resources generalist experience, exposure to working with primarily hourly employees.
• Experience interviewing, onboarding and managing employee relations issues.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of state and federal wage and labor laws.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Word, Excel, Outlook and familiarity with using HRIS systems (preferably Dayforce).

Preferred Skills, Abilities and Qualifications

• Experience working in an agriculture or manufacturing environment.
• Ceridian Dayforce HRIS
• Working in a matrixed working environment.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree. Degree in Human Resources or related field, preferred or equivalent years of experience.

• Exempt

Compensation

• $75,000 - $125,000

Work Schedule

• Hybrid/Remote: Monday - Wednesday, on site in Lanai, Thursday - Friday, remote. Company will pay for commuting costs for residents of Hawaii. Schedule subject to change.
