Job Summary:

The Human Resources Manager will lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including hiring and interviewing, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. Since great people are the key to our success, a successful candidate in this position will also be able to conduct full life cycle talent management in sourcing the best candidates for GSS as well as maintaining effective programs for retention, promotion and succession planning.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Provides support and guidance to management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
· Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
· Tracks, manages, and provides new hire orientation on company policies and benefits such as safety program, PTO, health/dental insurance, IRA, and other benefits as needed.
· Leads the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
· Works with management team to enforce all company policies.
· Manage the maintenance and execution of the performance management system, including current job descriptions, standards of performance and performance evaluation instruments.
· Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
· Works closely with finance team as needed to support HR policies and duties to make sure they fit within the company’s budgets.
· Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
· Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
· Coordinates company sponsored employee events.
· Manages all employee files and filings including workers compensation claims and unemployment documentations and filings.
· Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
· Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
· Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
· SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly desired.
· A minimum of three years of human resource management experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
· Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
