Job Purpose
Provides support to the Human Resources Department and all employees as needed in all personnel matters. Day to day operations require contact with employees, answering questions regarding benefits, compensation, policies and procedures. This position requires on-site presence and regular attendance to perform the essential duties.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities:

  • Maintains all facility employee records of benefit plan participation, personnel transactions such as new hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, terminations, various leaves of absence, workers comp, and employee statistics for government reporting.
  • Assist employees with inquiries regarding policies, procedures and programs.
  • Assist employees with benefit processing and enrollment.
  • Coordinates programs involving payroll deductions.
  • Communicates/shares documentation with Payroll Specialist regarding above mentioned benefit plans.
  • Recruits, interviews, tests and selects employees to fill vacant positions.
  • Perform new hire and benefit orientations.
  • Support facility management team in conducting performance reviews, corrective actions, and strategic planning.
  • Conduct exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
  • Administer separation notices as required.
  • Act as Point of Contact for DER program for specified locations.
  • Assist with random drug testing program.
  • Serves as the main contact for all staffing companies and manages all temporary employees.
  • Completes weekly/yearly temporary employee reports.
  • Maintain recruiting and staffing logistics for Hunting Titan.
  • Manages facility PPE voucher program.
  • Maintains Federal and State Poster Requirements.
  • Maintains all facility HR related filing systems.
  • Assist with population of data room with proper documentation.
  • Inputs and updates employee information in all pertinent HRIS systems.
  • Complete various projects and miscellaneous reports and research for executive staff.
  • Promote and engage in employee Birthday, Anniversary and incentive programs.
  • Assist Human Resource Manager, Human Resource Benefits Generalist and Human Resource Specialist as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Experience
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
A. Education and Training

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Associate degree or five (5) years plus relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • HRCI or SHRM designation a plus.

B. General Requirements

  • Excellent oral communication skills and professional personal presentation.
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Able to multi-task, meet deadlines and perform well under pressure.
  • Able to travel as needed.

C. Technical Requirements / Skills

  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures.
  • Able to effectively communicate with employees and coworkers.
  • Bi-lingual is preferred, but not required.
  • Computer proficiency and relevant software applications (specifically Microsoft Office).
  • Knowledge of principles and procedures for benefits and compensation.
  • Able to explain policy procedures and benefits.
  • Able to work with general mathematical concepts, including accrual.
  • Must possess good phone etiquette and be familiar with terminology used in regard to personnel matters.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all personnel matters at all times.

D. Certificates, Licenses & Registrations

  • Maintain Certification for Designated Employer Representative (DER).
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and record that conforms to company’s insurance policies, ATF, DOT, and State of other required Hazmat training.

E. Work Authorization / Security Clearance:

  • Authorized to work in United States.
  • Able to meet ATF & regulatory security requirements.
