JOB TITLE: Human Resources Assistant

DEPARTMENT: Human Resources FSNA

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR'S TITLE: Human Resources Manager- FSNA

BASIC FUNCTION: The basic function of this job is to provide support and assistance within the HR department. This may include working with employees on benefits, payroll, projects and any other issues that may come up.

Responsibilities:

Payroll Processing and support- weekly and biweekly payroll with ADP- working with our NY and CA locations.

Assist with compliance audits and reporting- work with departments and managers on training needs and compliance

File documents- both physical and electronic formats; Maintain bulletin boards for compliance posters both physical and electronic formats.

Assist with recruitment efforts- screening resumes, setting up interviews, assessments

Assist with onboarding- set up pre-employment physicals, drug screens

Act as point of contact for employees with general HR questions, open enrollment. Manage the general HR email, voicemail, faxes- conference room approvals

Assist with the planning/implementation of employee appreciation events and holiday events.

Assist department personnel with special projects/tasks as needed- including travel and hospitality events in and out of the office. Luncheons, special team building events, on-site meetings.

Assist with clerical tasks or special projects for Senior Leadership team as needed

Accept direction from management, possess the ability to work well and with compassion in stressful situations maintaining a professional, confidential, and courteous demeanor.

Attend and participate in meetings as required

Other duties and responsibilities as may be requested by your supervisor or management

Education/Experience:

High School diploma or equivalent minimum

Prior experience in an office environment, manufacturing is a plus but not required.

Proficient level of Microsoft Office applications- Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint

Experience with ADP payroll is a plus.

Must possess good written and verbal communication skills, and conflict resolution skills.

Must be able to perform with a high level of attention to detail and maintain a high level of confidentiality for personnel matters both personal and professional.

Must be able to work in a fast paced, changing environment with the ability to adapt and work through stressful situations as they arise and communicate effectively.

Knowledge of local, state and federal labor laws is a plus.

Working conditions/Environment:

Office environment- On-site position

Ability to walk around the production floor as needed, with proper PPE where required.

Flexible work schedule

Travel to other locations- possible

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year

Schedule:
