As a Histotechnologist, you may not spend long periods of time with patients, but you play a key role in making their lives better. Responsibilities:
Legacy Health System’s Laboratory is an integrated lab service. Staff may be assigned to lab facilities at different sites in the system. Prepares tissue specimens for macro and microscopic examination by pathologists. Staff are expected to demonstrate optimal interpersonal skills through effective communication and cooperation with co-workers. Applies knowledge of anatomic, physiological and, as relevant, psychological processes, to provide appropriate service to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric patients, and patients with special needs.
Qualifications:

Certification as Histology Laboratory Technologist through ASCP or equivalent professional association as approved by Federal and/or applicable State regulations is required and meets any other Federal and/or applicable State requirements. Preference is given for ASCP certification and bachelor level academic work.
