Job Description :

GFL is seeking a highly motivated and creative Graphic Designer to join our growing team in Raleigh, NC or (remotely in the US). The Graphic Designer is integral to the Design and Brand Team operating within the GFL Marketing Department. The main goals are to support the departments range of media which includes print, web, digital, and social channels. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, think creatively, and meet deadlines are some of the characteristics we are looking for.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create high quality designs that adhere to GFL’s brand standards, that also support our sales and business teams
  • Collaborate, support, and complete projects through media across both digital and traditional channels for a wide range of materials that may include web pages, presentations, reports, print collateral, posters, brochures, signage, annual reports, brand identities, communication material, newsletters, social content, and marketing materials.
  • Help keep GFL’s brand fresh and current with emerging trends, and techniques
  • Present concepts and projects to individuals on the team and outside the department
  • A desire to learn about GFL’s Services, Business models, and Accomplishments
  • Strong organizational skills to help keep a variety of client projects on time
  • Flexibility by switching between projects and pivoting quickly should the need arrive
  • Designing illustrations, collateral and infographics for GFL’s brand
  • Building constructive and collaborative relationships with other GFL Team members
  • Trustworthy with a drive to be the best at your craft!
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
  • 4+ years experience and/ or equivalent education in Graphic Design from an accredited institution
  • Up to date with the latest trends and best practices in graphic design and visual branding.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud applications: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat
  • Experience in MS Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, or SharePoint
  • Experience in Premiere Pro or After Effects is considered an asset, but not necessary
  • Knowledge in print production and pre-press processes is considered an asset, but not necessary
  • Proven ability to think creatively and rationalize the designs used
  • Understand the characteristics of digital and print projects
  • Ability to multitask projects and work independently
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, ability to manage timelines and client deadlines (Experience using project management software such as Trello is a plus)
  • Strong communication skills, detail-oriented and dependable
  • A sense of humour never hurts!
  • Online Portfolio or 6 to 8 Portfolio samples are necessary before any decisions are made.
