As a partner and member of the Senior Management team, the Human Resources Director collaborates with executive leadership to define the organization's long-term mission and goals with a focus on people, culture, and workplace strategies. This position is responsible for short- and long-term human resource strategies, policies, and procedures including performance management, compensation and benefits, training and development, and employee relations. The Human Resources Director has responsibility for managing the outsourced human capital relationships (third-party service providers) and oversees the payroll function in conjunction with the finance team. The incumbent will be responsible for collaborating with leaders with input and recommendations regarding strategic staffing plans, talent acquisition, organizational assessment, employee engagement, and change management.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
· Formulate, develop, document, and implement Human Resources processes to achieve the organization’s vision, mission, and goals, for both internal Human Resources as well as external Samuel Hale clients.
· Regularly engage in direct communication with Samuel Hale clients on key human resources matters.
· Oversee recruitment efforts to ensure that the organization is effectively and efficiently sourcing and selecting the right candidates.
· Mitigate legal risk to Samuel Hale and its clients through proactive training and education, clear systems, and processes for managing conflicts with and between employees, handling and investigating complaints of harassment/discrimination and other unjust practice allegations.
· Maintain current knowledge and application of all relevant laws and regulations at the local, state, and national level relating to employment and ensure organizational compliance. This includes educating and advising clients on HR-related legal and regulatory matters and ensuring HR programs, practices and policies are aligned. Ensure that employee files and records are properly and securely maintained.
· Lead and develop a team of two staff members.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, LICENSURE, AND EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent years of experience in Human Resources or related field
· SHRM Certification required or attained within one year of hire.
· A minimum of 7 years of HR generalist/consulting experience partnering directly with senior leadership to develop, align and implement HR and organizational development strategies
· Experience supervising and developing staff
· Strong business acumen and leadership abilities
· Working knowledge of employment laws and other compliance issues
· Ability to provide thoughtful, progressive, and strategic guidance
· Outstanding judgement, sensitivity, and high discretion
PHYSICAL/MENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
· Must be able to speak clearly in small group settings.
· This position will require sitting for long periods of time, walking, standing, bending, and walking, as well as using fine motor skills, such as finger dexterity for typing and using electronic devices
· Must be available to travel a couple times a year.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
